Title 3.6Rates checked July 2026

Texas Monthly advertising rates

Full disclosure first: we planned this page as the site's fully-published regional exemplar, and the paper did not cooperate. Texas Monthly's advertise page gates its kit behind a sales contact; our automated retrieval attempt on 31 July 2026 returned 403.[1] Under the desk's rules that makes the title quote-only, and no dollar figure appears here until a card is on file.

Why this book is still the model

Texas Monthly is what the regional tier looks like done well: a statewide glossy with a loyal, affluent readership, real journalism sustaining real engagement, an audited circulation a buyer can verify[2], and metro-split editions that let an Austin restaurant group buy Austin without paying for Houston. Every mechanism this site teaches (kit, card, ladder, closes, audit, IO) operates at this scale with a straight face and an SMB-compatible budget. That is why the tier, not the trophy nationals, is where the regional folio sends most $10k-$50k quarters.

Desk drill

Turning this profile into your own worked example

Send the Step 01 request to the Texas Monthly ad desk (or your own state's equivalent). When the kit lands you hold what this page cannot print: the current card, ladder, metro splits and closes. Run the full-page rate against the audited circulation in the CPM desk, mark the quote against published paper on QuoteCheck, and negotiate per Step 03. That is the entire method, applied.
